A’ali Monument
Project Type
Monument Sculpture
Date
April 2021
Location
A'ali Village Entrance, Bahrain
The A’ali Pottery Monument, representing traditional handicraft in the village for around 4,000 years, was demolished for major roadwork. To replace it, Jamal Alyousif Sculpture Studio was asked to create a replica with the same look and feel.
Using Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) material, the studio meticulously designed a new monument that closely resembles the original structure. The replica now stands at the same roundabout near Ramli Mall, serving as a symbol of Bahrain’s cultural heritage and paying homage to the traditional handicraft of the village.
